Exerzio does not collect your data. There is no account, no Exerzio server, no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK and no third-party SDK that receives data. There is no tracking, no IDFA and no App Tracking Transparency prompt.
Workouts, routes, the map, tiles, health data and app preferences are stored on your iPhone. Exerzio has no server that receives them.
Exerzio reads workouts, workout routes, activity, sleep, body measurements, mindfulness and health logs from Apple Health to build the timeline, the map and the insights. It writes workouts and their routes, activity metrics, water, body measurements, mindfulness and symptom logs back to Apple Health.
All of this stays between your device and Apple Health. If you deny permission, the app remains usable, with less to show.
Exerzio requests Location access When In Use, to show your position on the map and to record a workout's route. A background mode keeps a recording running with the screen off.
Routes are drawn on the device and saved to Apple Health. They are never uploaded to Exerzio.
Exerzio writes to the photo library only when you export a card or image you created yourself.
Exerzio shares a small snapshot with its own widgets through a private App Group container on the device. Nothing leaves the device.
Map imagery is fetched from the system map provider as you browse, as in any map app. Your own routes are drawn locally and are never sent.
Exerzio deliberately does not publish your workout history to Spotlight, so your health and location history is not searchable from outside the app. Siri answers with distances and compass directions, never an address, a coordinate or the path taken.
If, and only if, you choose to connect a Dreeve server, Exerzio sends the workout types you select from your iPhone directly to that server. You supply the address and the API key; the server is yours. There is no Exerzio relay, no Exerzio account and no Exerzio copy of the data — Exerzio never sees it.
Servers outside your local network must use HTTPS; plain HTTP is accepted only for servers on your own local network, which is also why iOS asks for Local Network permission the first time. Disconnecting stops all sending. What happens to data once it reaches your Dreeve server is governed by that server, not by Exerzio.
Exerzio is rated 4+ and is not directed at children. It collects nothing from anyone.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
